Actions Taken by the Residential Division of the Georgia Board of General and Residential Contractors

Macon, Ga. (April 22, 2008) — The Residential Division of the Georgia Board of General and Residential Contractors held a meeting on Wednesday, April 16 and Thursday, April 17, 2008.

   The Board held 94 appearances for applicants who requested that the Board reconsider the denial of their licenses. The Division overturned the denial of 62 applications for licensure, upheld the denial of 19 applications for licensure and tabled eight applications for further review.

   An additional five applicants did not attend their scheduled appearances.

   The Residential Division of the Georgia Board of Residential and General Contractors will hold its next meeting Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at 9 a.m. at the Professional Licensing Boards Division in Macon, Georgia.
