Actions Taken by the Georgia State Board of Examiners of Psychologists at its March 21 Meeting

Macon, Ga. (March 24, 2008) — he Georgia State Board of Examiners of Psychologists held its monthly meeting on Friday, March 21, 2008.

   The Board voted to issue licenses for the following individuals:

      Katie Cowan, Lawrenceville
      Clifford Guarnaccia, Atlanta
      Sherry Hills, Warner Robins
      Akihiko Masuda, Atlanta
      Donna Rait, Denver, CO
      Alan Scheuemann, Clarksville, TN
      Nicole Sirrine, Atlanta

   The Board voted to adopt the following rules:

    Rule 510-9-.03, Permission for Limited Practice: Updates and clarifies the requirements for temporary licensure of individuals licensed to practice psychology at the doctoral level in another jurisdiction so they may practice in Georgia without applying for a Georgia license.

    Rule 510-9-.04, License for Volunteer Service: Provides the requirements for temporary licensure of retired or inactive licensed psychologists to practice psychology in Georgia in volunteer service status for public agencies or institutions.

   The Georgia State Board of Examiners of Psychologists will hold its next meeting on Friday, April 18, 2008, at 8:30 a.m. at the Professional Licensing Boards in Macon.
